33 Weeks!

Today's date: Wednesday, June 1, 2011 (Happy Birthday to my favorite little man, Augie!)

How far along: 33 weeks

Sex: Girl...we think!

Maternity clothes: Basically, whatever is comfortable!  Yoga pants, tanks and running shoes these days.

Sleep: Sleeping is still pretty uncomfortable, especially with this hot hot weather the past few days.  We have AC but our upstairs doesn't cool down very well, so we crank the AC down before we head up to bed, turn the fan on and sleep with a sheet only!

Best moment(s) of the week:  Once again, we were on the go this weekend...this time back to Michigan for two weddings, which I mentioned yesterday.  We even got to spend a little time at my parents house on Sunday, celebrating my birthday with family and close friends.  We had a nice little back yard BBQ, complete with a game of badminton, which was actually interrupted by two tornado sirens and some pouring down rain.  Luckily, we weren't ever hit with the bad weather they were predicting.

Movement:  This little girl sure is a wiggle worm!  I feel and see her moving mostly on my right side, but just in the past week I've been feeling some movement on the lower left side.  And when I woke up a few mornings ago, as I was laying on my right side, I could feel a very pokey little round...something!  Elbow, maybe?

Food cravings/aversions: Still nothing.  What an uneventful pregnancy in this regard.  I do think that my appetite has decreased a little, since its been so hot the past few days.

Morning sickness: Nada.

Symptoms:  Still sore feet pretty much all the time, which explains why I prefer to wear my running shoes most often (more support, I guess).

Labor signs:
Not yet...

Belly button in or out:
The top half is pretty much sticking out and if I wear a tight shirt, you can see it poking out.  ha!

What I miss:
Sleeping on my back and stomach.

What I'm looking forward to: Staying put this weekend!  We still have a lot to do and desperately need this weekend to make a dent in things.  We're having the upstairs measured for carpet on Saturday, so hopefully that goes well and we can get that ordered soon.  I think it takes about 3-4 weeks from getting the space measured to the final installation...so, we need to get hopping on that!  I'm also planning to start Charlotte's room this weekend, so hopefully Brad's on board with that :)

Size and growth of our baby: Baby now weighs as much as a PINEAPPLE!

This week your baby weighs a little over 4 pounds (about as much as a pineapple) and has passed the 17-inch mark. She's rapidly losing that wrinkled, alien look and her skeleton is hardening. The bones in her skull aren't fused together, which allows them to move and slightly overlap, thus making it easier for her to fit through the birth canal. (The pressure on the head during birth is so intense that many babies are born with a conehead-like appearance.) These bones don't entirely fuse until early adulthood, so they can grow as her brain and other tissue expands during infancy and childhood.

  2. Earl, you know the pineapple is a lucky omen with the Mucci family. I love it!

  3. Well a pineapple is definitely a big improvement from a turnup!
